Locs Journey: 27 Months / 2 Years and 3 months Update (Semi Freeform Locs)

April 2020 (27 Months Loc'd)

Blessings Everyone! With all that's going on in the world, I hope you all are staying safe, healthy and as stress free as possible.

I just wanted to do a quick update on my locs. I started them January 2018 so it's been almost 2 and a half years since I started them. I haven't been in much of a picture/selfie mood, so the last pic I took of my locs was back in April(2 years and 3 months loc'd).
If I were to classify them, which I will for blogging purposes, they are semi freeform.

I love my locs. They are so low maintenance, cost virtually no money to maintain and I wouldn't change anything about these beauties. Because I do not retwist, it takes longer to see the length, but I am okay with that. Patience is key and since I hope to have these for a very long time, the length will come.

Loc Journey: Starter Locs with Two Strand Twists - Month 6 Update

Locs with 2 strand twists 6 months locs
6 Months Loc Comparison

Hey Everyone! It's been a while since I did an update on my locs and I figured now is the perfect time.
I have been loc'd for 6 months now and it's been going pretty well.

Where do I start? Well first off, I do not retwist my locs at all. After washing them or throughout the weeks, I just separate them so they do not join together. I do not want the "neat" look and I want my hair to be as free as possible with minimal maintenance involved.

Loc Journey: Starter Locs with Two Strand Twists- Week 1 Update

My go-to style

Hey Y'all! If you follow me on Instagram(hint hint), you would have seen that I redid my first set of locs. I know it may seem crazy that I did it already, but I have my reasons.

1.) They were way too small.

Loc Journey: Starter Locs with Two Strand Twists- Week 1

Hello and Happy New Year! Let me get straight to the point. I have decided to loc my hair! I have been thinking about doing this for a while now. After watching a hundred(literally) videos on Youtube and doing some research, I am ready to begin this journey. Because I was primarily wearing my hair in twists, the transition to locs shouldn't be too difficult for me.

Here are the details on how I started:
